How To Start Your Own Podcast (the simplest way!)

Friends, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that it's been one year since I started the podcast "Noble Motherhood." The podcast has been a passion project of mine and it's been so fun to step into this way of communicating with other women. It feels like a much more personal way of reaching others.

I wanted to write to you explaining my step by step process (that is absolutely the simplest way!) If starting a podcast is something that you really desire, it's completely within your reach. Just take it one step at a time and do not get caught up in all the non-essentials.

My Practical Setup:

  • I record & edit each episode with GarageBand (which is a musical creation studio) with a microphone attached to increase the quality of my audio

  • When I have a guest on the podcast, we record through Zoom and then I edit the audio through GarageBand

  • The online host for my podcast is Buzzsprout and I pay $12 per month for them to host all of my podcast episodes, along with placing them on major platforms such as Apple, Spotify and Amazon Music

  • I created my podcast graphic (and other graphics) through Canva

My Simple Tips:

  • Starting a podcast is just one element of the process to navigate. Other significant components to think through are:

    WHO is your audience

WHERE are you going to find them

HOW are you going to reach them

WHAT is most valuable for them to receive from you

I encourage you to take time to write down the answers to these questions. Literally write them down and get it out of your head. It will give you the space, then, to think about content you desire to share with your audience.

Alright friend, I hope that this helped you have the umpffff to get started and not be intimated by the process. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! My email is Hope@noblemotherhood.com

Blessings,

Hope
